A little white lie never hurt anyone right? what in the hell is considered a white lie anyway. cause i sure don't know.. not disclosing each and every detail of a situation is the American way. that's how our government is able to handle a war and an economic crisis while we head to Nordstroms and Saks day after day without panicking. but when it comes to your personal issues day after day, would you really want to know everything that's going on? we all know by now the famous quote by Jack Nicholson 'you can't handle the truth', but do you truly understand what that means?.. Excessive truth and honesty are actually considered negative traits in our society.. for example. if your woman has gained a surplus of weight and asks you 'baby how do i look today?'. and you answer her by saying 'you look like a hippopotamus sweetie'. the man is in the wrong cause your always suppose to tell her she looks

beautiful. but that's bullshit, and you would be lying to her.. we refer to this as having tact. but that's just another word for bullshitting.. Imagine if we lived in a world where tact didn't exist and everyone told each other what was really on their minds.. the turnover rate with everything from jobs to relationships would be ridiculous cause we really can't handle the truth.. But we can't be the type of people who desire the truth for certain things then wish for mendacious answers when it's convenient. we need to be able to do better as individuals on a day to day basis so the truth isn't so ugly when it is presented to us.. Now that brings us back to the original question. if you leave information out of an explanation should you be considered a liar? I personally believe it depends on how the question your asked is worded. cause if the other person or persons gives you room to wiggle out of an inconvenient truth, then you have every right to take advantage.. Life's all about technicalities baby... what do you think?
